Examination & Promotion Rules for FYJC

  1. Revised syllabus for all subjects of Std XI & XII, Subject scheme, examination/ evaluation scheme has to be implemented. from academic year 2019-20 for XI and from academic year 2020 – 21 for XII the final evaluation will be of 600 marks instead of 650 marks.
  2. Previously 50 marks were awarded to Environmental science subject. Henceforth the marks obtained out of 50 will be converted into grades. Water Conservation subject is also included in Environmental science.
  3. In addition to written evaluation, internal evaluation is also included for testing students continuous and comprehensive evaluation of different skills.
  4. Internal evaluation should be conducted throughout the year instead of conducting it at the end of the academic year. Planning for internal evaluation should be done at the Higher Secondary School/ Junior College level.
  5. Annual Examination of 11th standard will be conducted on overall syllabus of 11th standard and Annual(Board) Examination of 12th standard will be conducted on overall syllabus of 12th standard.
  6. Question paper pattern and topic wise weightage for 11th and 12th Semester as well as Annual Examination will be decided by respective subject’s committee members of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary And Higher Secondary Education.
  7. To pass 11th and 12th standard, students must score minimum 35% marks in written and internal examination. (Written + Internal=35%)
  8. As per the boards criteria, the Grace Mark system will remain as it is. Criteria for extra marks awarded to the sport students will also remain the same.
  9. 25% weightage must be given for objective and multiple choice questions in Annual Exam question paper of 11th and 12th standard
  1. For Std XI all subjects evaluation Scheme will be as follows:
    • First Term Internal evaluation – 25 Marks (Tutorials / MCQ Test / Tests / Seminar etc.)
    • First Term Written Examination – 50 Marks
    • Second Term Internal evaluation – 25 Marks (Tutorials / MCQ Test / Test/ Seminar etc)
    • Final written examination (End of Second Term) – 100 Marks (For Science subjects Phy, Chem & Biology) 70 Marks written & 30 marks practical. Maths & any other Subject 80 marks written & 20 marks (Practical / Project / Oral)Average Result = (25 + 50 + 25 + 100)/2=200/2=100 Avg marks
    • In Second Term the questions should be asked entire Syllabus in all subjects.
  2. Information technology (commerce and science stream)subject, final examination will carry 100 marks, out of that 80 marks for theory examination and 20 marks for practical examination. Theory examination is ONLINE examination.
  3. All language subjects- The final examination will carry 100 marks, out of that 80 marks for written examination and 20 marks for oral examination.
  4. For Commerce Stream – Economics, Bookkeeping and Accountancy , Organisation of Commerce and SP are the subjects for Std XI & XII Commerce Stream. The final exam will carry 100 marks, out of that 80 marks is for written exam and 20 marks for Application Based Test. The teacher provide the questions to student and the student has to solve that questions. Duration is one hour. Which will be conducted by the end of second Term.It is based on entire syllabus.
  5. For subject Mathematics & Statistics for (Commerce) as per present method, out of 100 marks, 80 marks for written exam & 20 marks for practical should be allotted. For 80 marks written exam of Mathematics and Statistics(Commerce) duration will be 3 hrs & only .There will be only one question paper for 80 marks in this 80 marks question paper there will be 2 Section. Section I carries 40 marks and Section II carries 40 marks. Though there will be only one question paper, two separate answer sheets will be provided.
  6. EVS and water solution is compulsory subject for Arts Commerce & Science streams. The distribution of mark for the subject is 30 marks Project + 20 marks internal evaluation for Seminar. Marks out of 50 should be calculated as a Grade.(A,B,C & D)
  7. In the revised syllabus Health & Physical Education has been included for Std XI and XII in the compulsory & Grade subjects. Total 50 marks for this subject. Marks out of 50 should be calculated as a Grade.(A,B,C & D)
  8. For Arts Stream – History, Political Science, Psychology, and Economics are the subjects for Std XI & XII Arts Stream. The final exam will carry 100 marks, out of which 80 marks are allotted to written exam and 20 marks allotted to (Project/ Field Visit/ Exercise/Seminar). The teacher will provide the topics for the Project/Seminar. The project should be submitted at the mid of the first/second term.
  9. For Geography subject the final exam will carry 100 marks, out of which 80 marks are allotted to written exam & 20 marks allotted to Practical.

RULES OF RE-EXAMINATION

  • Students who is unable to appear for the first or second term examination due to some reasons or due to ill health on medical ground, the Head of the Junior College shall hold the first-term re-exam as early as possible, but in any case before the second term ends. However, second term re-exam in case of such students should be conducted immediately after the second term end examination. Students are eligible to appear for re-exams on medical ground only on submission of the medical certificate. Such concession should not be given in case of students absent during the yearly work.
  • If a student fails to appear for 1st or 2nd term re-examination, his /her result of the First Year Junior College should be decided on the basis of 25 + 50 + 25 + 100/2 = 200/2 = 100 Avg marks
