On Monday 30th June 2025, Changu Kana Thakur Secondary and Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New Panvel conducted an environmental activity titled “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” under the guidance of Respected Principal Mr. Prashant More Sir, Supervisor Mr. Ajit Sonawane Sir ( Arts and Commerce) and Supervisor Mrs. Swati Patil Madam ( Science) as a part of Eco club for mission life. The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness and strengthen the emotional bond between students and nature through the involvement of their mothers.
In this activity, students were instructed to plant a sapling along with their mother and click a photo during the plantation process. This symbolic gesture not only encouraged afforestation but also highlighted the nurturing role of both mothers and trees in our lives.
A total of 23 students from our college actively participated in this noble initiative. All participants were appreciated for their enthusiastic involvement and were awarded certificates by the Eco Club for mission life .
