On 19th September 2025, Science committee of Janardan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha’s Changu Kana Thakur Secondary & Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New panvel organised a Debate Competition under the guidance of respected Principal
Mr. Prashant More Sir, Supervisor Mr. Ajit Sonawane Sir(Arts and Commerce), and
Supervisor Mrs. Swati Patil Madam (Science).Total 36 sharp minded students (12 groups) from XI and XII science participated in the debate . The competition was conducted successfully. It aimed to develop students’ critical thinking and communication skills by engaging them in a discussion on a very relevant and thought-provoking topic: “Smart Technology: Improving Quality of Life or Increasing Stress?” Some groups spoke in favor of the motion, emphasizing how technology has simplified human life. On the other hand, the opposing groups highlighted the stress caused by over-dependence on gadgets.
The debate not only helped the students to enhance their oratory skills but also encourage them to think critically about the role of technology in shaping human life.
This debate included 5 rounds and the competition was judged by Mr. Bhanudas Nawle sir and Mrs. Trupti Joshi madam whose fair judgment and encouraging remarks inspired the students.This event was anchored and concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs Dhanashree Mane madam.
The debate was highly engaging with students putting forward logical arguments supported by real-life examples.
