On Thursday, 7th August 2025, Changu Kana Thakur Secondary and Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New Panvel organized a Welcome Programme for the newly admitted 11th Standard students of Arts, Commerce and Science streams under the guidance of Respected Principal Mr. Prashant More Sir, Supervisor Mr. Ajit Sonawane Sir (Arts and Commerce) and Supervisor Mrs. Swati Patil Madam (Science). The event was held in two sections, Morning and Afternoon and was graced by esteemed dignitaries, teachers and students.
Morning Section:
The Chief Guest for the morning session was Mrs. Maheshwari Zirpe (Principal, Ramsheth Thakur Commerce and Science College, Kharghar). The programme began with a warm welcome, followed by inspiring speeches. The session was anchored by Mast. Shubham Sadekar and Miss Dhanashri Chavhan, students of 12th standard.
Afternoon Section:
The Chief Guest for the afternoon session was Mr. Sanjay Bhagat (Member, JBSP Sanstha). Another esteemed guest present was Mr. Navnath Sabale (Superintendent of School Nutrition). The second session continued with the same zeal and enthusiasm. It was anchored by Miss.Shruti Waghilkar, Miss.Tanvee Jadhav, Miss.Riya Mourya and Mast. Suresh Patel, also students of 12th standard.
Student and Teacher Speeches:
From the student side, Miss.Hansika Kalal (Morning) and Miss. Shruti Waghilkar (Afternoon) shared their heartfelt experiences and joyful moments at the institution, giving the newcomers a warm insight into college life.
From the teachers side, motivational speeches were delivered by Mrs. Dipti Walam and Mr. Dilip Patil, encouraging students to embrace their academic journey with dedication and confidence.
Chief Guest Address:
Both Chief Guests delivered highly motivational and inspiring speeches aimed at encouraging students to aim high, stay focused and make the best of their time in junior college.
Principal’s Address:
In both sessions, Respected Principal Mr. Prashant More Sir addressed the gathering. He warmly welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work and holistic development.
He proudly mentioned that Changu Kana Thakur College is the biggest college in the Raigad district, with excellent infrastructure.
Furthermore, he stated that the college focuses on quality teaching and organizes a wide range of activities for the overall personality development of students. He encouraged all students to actively participate in every activity to enhance their skills and make the most of the opportunities provided.
Introduction of Teachers:
As part of the welcome, all teachers from both sessions were introduced to the new students. This helped the students become familiar with their teaching staff and created a sense of comfort and belonging.
