On 16th October 2025, Janardhan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha’s Changu Kana Thakur Secondary and Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New Panvel, organized a Rangoli Making Competition on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. The event was held under the valuable guidance of Principal Mr. Prashant More Sir, Supervisor Mr. Ajit Sonawane Sir (Arts and Commerce) and Supervisor Mrs. Swati Patil Madam (Science).
The main objective of this competition was to encourage students to showcase their creativity and artistic skills while celebrating the cultural significance of Diwali.
A total of 42 students from various streams enthusiastically participated in the competition. They used vibrant colors and innovative patterns to create mesmerizing Rangolis reflecting themes of festivity, unity and tradition.
To judge the competition fairly, Mrs. Jyoti Wagh and Mr. Mahesh Popeta were appointed as the esteemed judges. After careful evaluation, the following participants were declared winners:

🥈 2nd Prize: Miss. Tejaswini Nalage – XI S1
🥈2nd Prize: Miss. Shravani Sawant – XI S5
🥉 3rd Prize: Miss. Samruddhi Gawade – XIl S1

The event was gracefully anchored by Miss. Yogita Jori. The competition concluded with appreciation and encouragement from the judges and the school authorities, who praised the participants for their creativity and enthusiasm.
Overall, the Rangoli Making Competition added colors of festivity and joy to the campus, spreading the true spirit of Diwali through art and expression.
