On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, Janardhan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha’s Changu Kana Thakur Secondary and Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New Panvel, organized a colourful and energetic Dandiya Ras programme on 30th September 2025. The event was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Prashant More Sir (Principal, Junior College), Mr. Ajit Sonawane Sir (Supervisor, Arts and Commerce) and Mrs. Swati Patil Madam (Supervisor, Science).
The programme was further graced by the esteemed presence of dignitaries – Mr. Kailas Satre Sir (Principal, CKT Secondary Section) and Mr. Subhash Mankar Sir (Principal, CKT Primary Section).
To encourage and recognize outstanding performances, eminent teachers were invited as judges:
• Mrs. Savita Sawant (Science)
• Mr. Ramhari Maske (Science)
• Mr. Sainath Patil (Commerce and Arts)
• Mrs. Madhavi Koli (Commerce and Arts)
After enthusiastic participation from all 34 divisions of the college, the much-awaited titles of Dandiya King and Dandiya Queen were awarded as follows:
• Dandiya Queen: Miss.Ishawari Gaikwad (XII S2 )& Miss.Shubhada Sonawane (XI C5)
• Dandiya King: Mast.Atharva Mokal (XII S4 )& Mast. Aryan Jadhav (XI C4 )
The entire campus was charged with vibrant energy as students showcased their enthusiasm through garba and dandiya dance. The event beautifully reflected cultural richness while highlighting the theme of “स्त्री-शक्ती जागर” (Awakening of Women Power).
The programme was anchored gracefully by Mrs. Madhuri Patil and Mr. Nikhilesh Deshmukh. Musical support was provided by Mr. Kapil Dandage and Mrs. Aarti Khuspe (Morning Session) along with Mr. Milind Surwade (Afternoon Session).
The celebration concluded with joy, devotion and togetherness, leaving behind unforgettable memories for both students and staff.
