AWARENESS RALLY ON THE INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
On 13th December, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the Inner Wheel Club, District 313, organized an awareness rally with the objective of promoting women’s safety, dignity, and empowerment.The programme aimed to create awareness among students and the community about the fact that some form of violence affects every woman and to encourage collective efforts toward building a safe, equal, and respectful society.
The rally was conducted under the leadership of the following dignitaries and members of the Inner Wheel Club:

Under their guidance, support, and active involvement contributed significantly to the successful organization of the awareness programme.
A total of 70 girl students, along with lady teachers Mrs. Pallavi Karpe, Mrs.Savita Sawant ,Mrs Smita Naik, Mrs.Madhuri Patil ,Mrs. Anjali Kulkarni and Mrs Kaveri Thorat from Changu Kana Thakur Secondary and Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New Panvel* participated enthusiastically in the event.
The programme was guided and supported by Principal Mr. Prashant More Sir, Commerce & Arts Supervisor Mr. Ajit Sonawane Sir and Science Supervisor Mrs. Swati Patil Madam, whose encouragement and guidance played an important role in motivating the students to actively participate in the event.
As part of the awareness activities, a Poster Making Competition titled “Orange The World” was organized on *12th December 2025 in the institution. The competition provided students with a creative platform to express their thoughts on women’s rights, safety, equality, and empowerment through art.

The winners were appreciated for their creativity, originality, and effective presentation of strong social messages.
A major highlight of the programme was an informative and inspiring speech by PP Advocate Mrs. Sunita Joshi Madam, Zonal E-Admin. In her address, she explained that violence against women can take many forms—physical, mental, emotional, or social and can occur at any stage of life. She emphasized that if anything wrong happens to any woman, she should immediately approach the appropriate authorities or trusted persons without fear or hesitation.
The felicitation program of honourable guests was conducted by Mr. Santosh Chavan Sir, Head Master of Changu Kana Thakur Secondary Vidyalaya (English Medium) as a mark of respect and appreciation for their valuable contribution to the programme.
During the rally, participants carried placards and raised meaningful slogans promoting gender equality and the elimination of violence against women. The rally started from Changu Kana Thakur Secondary and Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New Panvel and covered the surrounding areas, spreading awareness and receiving a positive response from the public.
