Maharashtra Day

Janardhan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha’s Changu Kana Thakur Secondary and Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New Panvel, celebrated the 66th Maharashtra Day with great enthusiasm, dignity and patriotic spirit on 1st May in the school premises. The programme was attended by esteemed dignitaries, teachers and non-teaching staff.

The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Hon. Dr. S.T. Gadade Sir, Secretary, JBSP Sanstha. Several heads of different sections  were also present, adding prestige to the occasion.

The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem sung in unison by all present. Soon after, the Maharashtra Geet was sung with great pride and enthusiasm, filling the atmosphere with love and respect for the glorious state of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra Day is celebrated every year on 1st May to mark the formation of the state of Maharashtra .This historic day reminds us of the sacrifices and efforts of leaders and citizens who fought for a separate Marathi-speaking state. It is a day of pride, unity and cultural identity for all Maharashtrians.

The formal function began with a warm welcome of the Chief Guest and all section heads. In his presidential address, Mr. S.T. Gadade Sir spoke about the importance of hard work and unity among all working staff members. His inspiring speech motivated everyone to respect their heritage and work sincerely for the progress of society and the nation.

The programme was efficiently and gracefully anchored by Mrs. Aparna Mukane, who conducted the event smoothly and maintained the festive spirit throughout.

The celebration concluded on a patriotic note, leaving everyone inspired and proud to be a part of the great state of Maharashtra.
