Janardhan Bhagat Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha’s Changu Kana Thakur Secondary and Higher Secondary Vidyalaya, New Panvel, celebrated the 79ᵗʰ Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The entire school campus atmosphere was charged with the spirit of freedom and unity. Teachers, Students, non teaching staff, parents, ex- students and guests gathered in large numbers to witness the grand occasion.
The celebration began with the Chief Guest, Mr. Y. T. Deshmukh (Vice Chairman, JBSP Sanstha), unfurling the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem in unison by the entire gathering, filling the air with pride and reverence.
The programme was formally introduced by Mr. Santosh Chavhan Sir, H.M. of the Secondary Section (English Medium). A series of vibrant cultural performances followed, showcasing the talents of students from all sections of the institution. The Higher Secondary Section presented a captivating patriotic dance performance that left the audience spellbound. Students also performed various acts depicting the rich heritage of India and the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest delivered an inspiring speech filled with patriotic zeal. He encouraged students to uphold the values of unity, discipline and dedication towards the nation, reminding them of their role in shaping India’s future.
The smooth flow of the programme was ensured by the anchor, Mrs. Aparna Mukane Madam, whose engaging presence kept the audience connected throughout the event.
